Most marketing agencies couldn't tell you what a California Jam-Knot looks like. They've never stood on a deck at first light, watching a client's face light up when that fish hits. And they definitely don't understand why a guide with a fully booked season can still be struggling to grow their business.
I do. Because I've been on both sides of the boat.
I'm Jonathan, and I've spent my life on the water. Based in Southern California, I grew up fishing everything from kelp beds to high mountain lakes. Over the years, I've dialed in loadouts for species across North America—not because I had to, but because I love the craft. I know what it takes to put clients on fish, and I know the guides, captains, and outfitters who make it happen day in and day out.
I've also watched too many of them drown in the business side of things. Unanswered inquiries sitting in their inbox while they're running a trip. No follow-up system to turn a great day on the water into a five-star review. Websites that look like they were built in 2005. And worst of all? Seeing their calendar go quiet in the off-season because they have no way to stay in front of past clients.
I considered becoming a guide myself. But I realized I could make a bigger impact by solving the problems I kept seeing across the industry.
